The Short Version: Our standard engagement is a 6-month commitment, billed monthly. A one-time setup fee is due before work begins. After the initial 6 months, you can cancel anytime with 30 days’ notice.
Every engagement begins with a one-time setup fee, paid in full before we start work. This covers onboarding, technical setup, strategy development, and system configuration. The setup fee is non-refundable once we begin onboarding.
Monthly fees are invoiced on the 1st of each month and due within 7 days. Your retainer covers ongoing service delivery, monitoring, optimization, and reporting as specified in your Statement of Work.
Our standard minimum commitment is six (6) months. This exists because our services — particularly AEO and Programmatic SEO — require time to build, deploy, and measure results. AI search optimization is not instant; it compounds over time.
If we materially fail to deliver contracted services, you may terminate immediately after giving us 15 days to fix the issue. In this case, you owe nothing beyond what’s already accrued and we refund any prepaid fees for undelivered services.
If you wish to cancel during the 6-month commitment period for reasons other than our breach:
Example: If your monthly retainer is $8,000 and you cancel at month 3, the early termination fee would be $24,000 (3 remaining months × $8,000).
After your initial 6-month commitment, the engagement automatically continues on a month-to-month basis. You may cancel at any time with 30 days’ written notice. No termination fees apply after the commitment period.
To cancel, send a written notice (email is sufficient) to hello@marketingenigma.ai stating your intent to terminate. We will acknowledge within 2 business days and confirm the effective date and any remaining obligations.
If you need a temporary pause rather than full cancellation, talk to us. In some cases, we can accommodate a pause of up to 60 days during the commitment period. The commitment timeline extends by the duration of the pause. Pauses are granted at our discretion and are not available for MCP server hosting (which has ongoing infrastructure costs).
